• Other Information: Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy (January 23, 1998 – June 18, 2018), better known by his stage name XXXTentacion was an American rapper, singer, songwriter, musician and digital influencer. Despite being a controversial figure due to his constant polemics, XXXTentacion gained po[CENSORED]rity and a young fan base during his short career through his depression and alienation-themed music. He has often been credited by critics and fans alike for his musical versatility, with his music exploring rap rap metal, emo, trap, lo-fi, indie rock, nu metal, hip hop, R&B, punk rock and reggae.

He began composing music after being released from a youth correctional center. In June 2013, he released the first song on the SoundCloud audio distribution platform, titled "News/Flock". He was a po[CENSORED]r figure as a trap artist, which uses elements of lo-fi and hard 808s music. He is also known for having a depressing style of music. In August 2017, Onfroy released his debut album 17, which includes the singles "Revenge" and "Jocelyn Flores". In March 2018, he released his second album?, debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 (USA) and his single "Sad!" reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100. In June 2018, when leaving a motorcycle dealership in Miami, Onfroy received several shots from a dark SUV, whose responsible then fled. The rapper was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a local hospital. Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, also called X, was born in Plantation, Florida, and spent his childhood in Pompano Beach and Lauderhill, Florida. He was raised with his grandmother, because of his mother's financial situation. X had German, Syrian, Indian, Jamaican and Italian ancestry. When he was six years old, he stabbed a man who was trying to attack his mother. He was eventually placed in a youth program before being "forced" to live with his grandmother. Jahseh's interest in music began after his aunt convinced him to attend the school choir and then the church choir, and he was expelled from the school choir after attacking another student. Jahseh is survived by a son, Gekyume, born on January 26, 2019, seven months after his death.
