He started his artistic career in 2001, when he became a trainee at the Johnny & Associates agency and later, he joined the News group in 2003, where he remained until the end of the year. During 2004, Moriuchi joined the band Chivalry of Music as a vocalist and then, in 2005, he joined the formation of One Ok Rock, of which he became its main lyricist and composer. Takahiro Moriuchi was born on April 17, 1988, in Tokyo, Japan. He is the first child of Japanese singers Masako Mori[1] (née Masako Morita) and Shinichi Mori (stage name Kazuhiro Moriuchi). He has two younger brothers, Tomohiro Moriuchi, who works at TV Tokyo, and Hiroki Moriuchi, lead singer of the band My First Story. Moriuchi attended Keio Elementary School until March 2001, then continued his studies at Keio Middle School in April. In August 2001, at the age of thirteen, he signed a contract with the agency Johnny & Associates, thus, he joined their trainee group called Johnny's Junior, in which he made some singing appearances on Japanese music shows during this period. In September 2003, two years after joining Johnny & Associates, Moriuchi was one of the trainees chosen to join the idol group News. In November, the then-nephew released the promotional single "News Nippon", used as the theme song for the 2003 Volleyball World Cup held in Japan. In December of the same year, Moriuchi had his activities suspended, when he left the agency and the group, after three months of his debut, under the justification of keeping "focus on his studies". In April 2004, Moriuchi attended Keio High School in his freshman year of high school, where he joined the football club. He later dropped out of school to pursue his music career. After dropping out of high school, Moriuchi left home and went to live with his grandmother. During that time, he took a part-time job at a restaurant in Aoyama to prepare for living on his own. In addition, he resumed his musical activities when he joined a cover band called Chivalry of Music in 2004, which consisted of a keyboardist, a guitarist and himself on vocals.
