Drake initially gained recognition as an actor in the teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. He is currently working with Young Money Entertainment, Universal Motown and OVO Sound, with Drake himself founding the third. The same is also a fanatical supporter of the NBA basketball team Toronto Raptors. After releasing three hits between February 2006 and February 2009, Drake was discovered by rapper Lil Wayne, who served as something of a mentor to Drake. And as his first job on his mentor's record label, Drake released his debut EP, So Far Gone, in September 2009. The EP contains the Canadian's first hit song, "Best I Ever Had". In 2010, he released his first studio album, Thank Me Later, which revealed the singles "Over" and "Find Your Love", also featuring collaborations with rappers such as Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. He achieved even greater success with his second album, Take Care, released in November 2011. With this album, he won a Grammy Award for "Best Rap Album" and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Their third studio album Nothing Was The Same was released in September 2013 and contains the singles "Started from the Bottom" and "Hold On, We're Going Home". In February 2015 he released his fourth mixtape, If You're Reading This It's Too Late. The project was first classified as Drake's fourth studio album, but the singer himself stated in an interview that the project was just a mixtape. In April 2016, he released his fourth studio album Views. The album features the singles "Hotline Bling", "One Dance", "Pop Style", "Controlla" and "Too Good". In March 2017, he released More Life, an LP that Drake called a playlist. More Life spawned, among others, the single "Passionfruit". In January 2018, he released the Scary Hours EP, which contains two tracks: "God's Plan" and "Diplomatic Immunity". Alongside the singles "Nice for What" and "In My Feelings" - which were hits in 2018, "God's Plan" is also featured on the Canadian's fifth album Scorpion, released on June 29, 2018.
