• Other Information: Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone (August 16, 1958) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, writer, dancer and businesswoman. She is considered one of the most impactful figures in po[CENSORED]r culture and has often been referred to as the "Queen of Pop". Madonna is known for her continuous reinvention and versatility in the music production, composition and visual presentation of her work. She pushed the boundaries of artistic expression in commercial music, remaining completely in charge of all aspects of her career. Her works, which incorporate social, political, sexual and religious themes, have generated critical and public acclaim and controversy. Madonna is often cited as an influence for other artists in the design and production of their artwork.
• Born and raised in Michigan, Madonna moved to New York City in 1978 to pursue a career in contemporary dance.
