The Macron government is preparing to pass a law whose objective will be to maintain the functioning of economic activities: to ensure self-sufficiency, guarantee security and defense.

 

A war economy is one that will allow a country to survive, have self-sufficiency for its po[CENSORED]tion, and its security and defense will be guaranteed. Yes, it is what the Macron government is analyzing.

The newly elected president of France has activated the defense policy, and through the Military Programming Law of the country, there has been an increase in the Defense budget, a measure that NATO endorsed for all countries at the Madrid Summit, in addition to buying weapons in different sectors. Spending on weapons increased by 5% worldwide and France is now the third largest arms exporter in the world.

The French Council of Ministers will approve throughout the day the law of "purchasing power" in which a section of "energy sovereignty" will be obtained, by which the Government will operate gas plants in case of supply problems.

A draft that provides for the possibility of 'requisitioning' gas plants, as well as the 'forced filling' of gas storage facilities. If this cannot be carried out, those in charge of storage will have to establish the necessary stocks themselves.

In addition, exceptions will be made to accelerate the installation of an LNG import terminal in Le Havre and the restart of the Saint-Avold coal plant, all measures so that when autumn and winter arrive everything is solved and the po[CENSORED]tion do not get cold, something that could be catastrophic. Precisely this plant, known as Emile-Huchet, was definitively closed in March and they hope to put it back into operation as of October 1.

 

Macron's forecasts
For Macron it is important to "organize for the future", and the closest is that in October it can already be cold in different parts of the country and heating will be necessary, although coal and gas are key in all sectors of life French.

On July 11, the next temporary closure of the Nord Stream 1 will take place to examine the state of the facilities, the pipe that transports gas from Russia to Germany, and which also serves France, Austria, Italy...
