[Auto] JAC's Green Demon arrives in China

It is a highly accessorized version of the T8 truck, and it is already on sale in its country of origin.

The pick-up segment continues to take flight among brands of Chinese origin.

If a decade ago it was only possible to find basic models, with little technology and one hundred percent focused on work, today we have trucks from higher segments, highly technological and, moreover, with strong off-road specifications.

One of those that joins this trend is JAC Motors, which is launching in China a version called Green Demon (Green Demon) of its well-known T8 truck, a model that is marketed in Chile.

The new truck offers a more authentic look and a powerful off-road kit, including a new front end, more aggressive front and rear bumpers, an A-pillar snorkel, skid plates, a functional cage over the pick-up and electric winch for tow 4,300 kilos. And on the roof there are two 30-liter gasoline tanks as an option that allow autonomy to be increased by about 400 liters.

Obviously it sports a green decoration, on the logo, the wheels, the handles, the fog light area, and the bars.

 

 

The front grille is also new, with a much more aggressive design and the position of the fog lights.

The JAC Green Demon also features suspension upgrades, allowing it to raise the ground clearance to 230mm. It does this using a 2-inch Black Mamba lift kit and has nine damping adjustment gears for your various uses. The brand indicates that the new truck is equipped with thicker stabilizer bars to improve its off-road performance.

Like the rest of the range, the JAC Hunter Green Demon uses the well-known 1.9-liter turbodiesel engine with 150 Hp and 360 Nm of torque, and the 2.4-liter turbo petrol engine with 210 Hp and 320 Nm. Both are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel drive system.

Will it come to Chile? For aesthetics, we can rule out almost with certainty.
