Other Information: Sean Paul's manager and producer Jeremy Harding first heard of the singer when his brother asked him to go see someone who sang akin to dancehall DJ and toaster Super Cat at an open mic event in Kingston. Harding ended up meeting with Paul when he went to his study to ask for advice. During the meeting he recorded a vocal rhythm track with Harding and in the process created the song "Baby Girl". Sean Paul began spending time in the studio every day, and the two collaborated on several more songs. When they recorded “Infiltrate” they decided they had something good enough to get on the radio. Sean Paul began to attract the local press and Harding began to take care of his business. Sean Paul made a cameo appearance in the movie Belly in 1998. On March 21, 2000, his debut album Stage One was released on VP Records, peaking at number two on the Top Reggae Albums chart in the United States.
