The vehicle restriction will not run for tomorrow. This Saturday, the authorities of the Metropolitan Region declared a preventive environmental alert for this Sunday, June 19, in the Metropolitan Region. With this, the Presidential Delegation of the RM called on the inhabitants of Greater Santiago not to use wood heaters and to prefer the use of public or shared transport. Likewise, agricultural burning will be prohibited. To comply with the measures, "the Health Seremi of the RM, together with the municipalities and Carabineros de Chile, will supervise the non-use of firewood, while the Agriculture Seremi will do the same with the SAG and CONAF inspectors regarding of Agricultural Burning". This measure was decreed due to the fact that adverse ventilation conditions continued in the Santiago basin during this day: "At 3:00 p.m. today, June 18, the Cerro Navia Station reached an ICAP of 200, with which confirmed Environmental Alert by PM2.5 declared preventively for this Saturday.
