Real-time light ray tracing technology or Ray Tracing is definitely here to stay. More and more games are implementing this technology. Quake II RTX was released a long time ago, which added Ray Tracing to this legendary game. Well, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will now have Ray Tracing integrated.

Initially, NVIDIA indicated that they would work to implement Ray Tracing in different classic games. The reality is that only Quake II RTX has received this technology to date. There are some mods that add this technology to different games, but it is not official. Although it is true that some games have received it some time later, such as Minecraft.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will integrate Ray Tracing
This mythical game has never been released on PC and officially, it will never be released on PC. So, how is it that it will arrive on PC and with Ray Tracing included? Well, it is thanks to the modder DarioSama, who created the version of Super Mario 64 for PC with integrated ray tracing technology.

He has posted on his Twitter account a video that lets us see the game with dynamic shadows and Ray Tracing within one of the most iconic Zelda games. In case there is any doubt, the game had never supported this technology.

It is not the only interesting thing that the video shows us, and that is that it has been adapted to a wider resolution and with a rate of 60 FPS. As if that were not enough, Link's sword will also have reflections, one of the functions of Ray Tracing. He has managed to give it a similar effect to the metal cap in the Mario 64 version with Ray Tracing.

SarioMama indicates that he is currently still finalizing the game, making the final touches. The final version of this game may even be better than the video, which already looks amazing. He is sure that fans of this video game will love that he receives this technology, giving the game a new air.

Note that Ocarina of Time is available on PC thanks to different developers who have made it possible. It has used the source code of the game and reverse engineered it so that it can run on PC smoothly.

The classics, with modern technologies
Many developers, either because they are fans or to demonstrate their abilities, have brought console classics to PC. For most cases there is no big problem, but when we talk about Nintendo games it can be a huge problem.

The Japanese company persecutes those who pirate games and consoles, as well as the "ports" of its classic games. Super Mario 64 with Ray Tracing has been persecuted very harshly by the company. It has filed a lawsuit against DarioSama, precisely, as well as persecuting the websites that have shared the download link.

Be that as it may, some have even opted to reissue their classics with this technology. CryTek has recently remastered its legendary Crysis saga, adding ray tracing technology. This gives a new look to this impressive game, which already caused a sensation at the time.
