Meanwhile, on the exit plebiscite, the sample did not show changes either, thus showing 37% in favor of Approval and 46% for Rejection. The mayor of Providencia, Evelyn Matthei, the governor of the Metropolitan Region, Claudio Orrego, and the mayor of Recoleta, Daniel Jadue. This Sunday, the results of the most recent Cadem Public Square Survey were released, which indicates that 76% of those consulted consider that there is terrorism in Araucanía, this being the highest figure since June 2017. Likewise, regarding the way in which violence should be confronted in the southern macro-zone, 44% consider themselves in favor of doing so via the Armed Forces, compared to 25% who prefer political dialogue and 24% who favor judicial and police channels. Meanwhile, 54% think that the attacks in the area are explained by the presence of violent groups, 38% by the poverty and lack of opportunities of the Mapuche people, 35% by the lack of support and resources for Carabineros, 34% by 34% due to the mismanagement of the Courts and 29% due to the lack of delivery of land. Regarding the state of exception decreed by the Government of Gabriel Boric, 77% agreed with the measure, while 85% indicated that it should have been implemented before. On the other hand, the evaluation of the management of President Gabriel Boric did not present changes with respect to the previous study: 38% approve and 50% disapprove. Regarding the exit plebiscite of the new Constitution, no changes were registered either. 37% would vote I approve and 46% would vote rejection, while 17% do not know or do not respond. Evelyn Matthei is the best rated political figure This week, the Cadem survey included the evaluation of political figures, being the mayor of Providencia, Evelyn Matthei is the best rated with 61% approval. The union mayor is followed by Claudio Orrego (58%), Rodolfo Carter (54%), Michelle Bachelet (53%) and Germán Codina (52%). Further back are Pamela Jiles (49%), Tomás Vodanovic (48%), Macarena Ripamonti (48%), Manuel José Ossandón (48%), Fabiola Campillai (47%), Sebastián Keitel (45%), Ignacio Briones ( 44%), José Antonio Kast (44%) and Ximena Rincón (41%).
