FNX Magokiler
According to data from the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS), there are still 36,000 people who have not completed their initial scheme. Meanwhile, 2.2 million have not yet received their fourth dose. Since last Tuesday, the Minsal made available to the public the data of the laggards in the country, as an effort to improve communication and enhance the transparency of data regarding vaccination. Of course, the authorities chose to use a different criterion than the one applied in the previous administration: all those who have more than six months since the last dose they received are counted as laggards. This means that those who have not been vaccinated in their corresponding week will not join the list, unless, in fact, the delay exceeds 180 days. According to the Minister (s) of Health, Cristóbal Cuadrado to Emol, the National Commission for Pandemic Response (CNRP) adopted this decision, which responds to the fact that "in that period the protection of vaccines decreases and therefore, it is blocked the mobility pass" and incidentally, "simplify communication". To date, and according to the aforementioned criteria, there are 4,015,107 people with pending doses in the country or "partial protection." Most of them are concentrated in the Metropolitan Region, with 1,579,225 (39.3%); Valparaíso, with 415,396 (10.3%); and Biobío, with 325,574 laggards (8.1%). In addition, as this medium learned, most of them correspond to adult men. Meanwhile, the regions with the lowest percentage of people with pending doses are in Aysén (0.7%); Magellan and Antarctica (0.9%); Arica and Parinacota (1.4%); and Tarapaca (1.9%). Regarding age groups, there are 13,196 children between 3 and 5 years of age with partial protection, mainly concentrated in the RM (5,119) and Valparaíso (1,411). In the range of 6 to 11 years, the figure rises to 427,022 at the national level; between 12 and 17 years old, there are 373,637; and people aged 18 and over reach 3,201,252. Second dose stragglers and boosters As for second dose stragglers, at the national level there are 36,965 people who have not been inoculated after receiving the first vaccine. Here the trend according to regions is repeated: the majority is concentrated in the RM, with 12,942 people (35%); Valparaíso, with 3,887 (10.5%); and Biobío, with 2,782 (7.5%). Meanwhile, the age group with the most laggards from the second vaccine are those aged 18 and over, with 13,788 people, closely followed by the group between 3 and 5 years, with 13,144. Then, the group between 6 to 11 years old, with 7,799, and the one from 12 to 17, with 2,234. On the other hand, the stragglers of the booster dose (third dose) at the country level reach 1,692,693, again with the highest concentration in the Metropolitan Region, with 634,011 people (37.5%); followed by Valparaíso (10.4%) and Biobío (8%). Distributing by age, there are 911,167 people over 18 years of age who have not yet been inoculated with the booster; 362,261 between 12 and 17 years old; and 419,215 between 6 and 11 years old. Finally, the fourth dose laggards reach 2,285,449 nationwide, and 40.8% are concentrated in the RM, with 932,272 people; followed by Valparaíso, with 10.3% (235,019 people); and Biobío, with 8.2% (187,723 people). Because the process began in January, the concentration of people who are missing the fourth dose is among those over 18 years of age (2,276,297). However, the DEIS also reports laggards between 12 and 17 years old (9,142); between 6 and 11 there are only 8 people counted and 2 between 3 and 5 years. https://www.emol.com/noticias/Nacional/2022/05/23/1061632/perfil-rezagados-vacunas.html
