The Ecuadorian soccer team plans three check games in the United States, in June

The Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) reported this Wednesday the cancellation of the friendly game scheduled for June 11 against the Mali team, which closed the tricolor tour of the United States in preparation for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

In a statement published on social networks, the FEF "regretted" that "the Mali Soccer Association canceled the friendly match" scheduled to be played at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in Hartford, Connecticut.

The cancellation comes in the face of "a corresponding change to the African Cup of Nations qualifiers without prior notice."

This modification of the calendar of the African competition forces Mali to play on June 9 against South Sudan, two days before the game that was scheduled against the Tri.

The commitment with the Africans was part of the FIFA date in which Ecuador intends to play three verification games on US soil, for now with confirmed matches against Nigeria, on June 2, in New Jersey; and on June 5 against Mexico, in Chicago.

"The FEF makes every effort to confirm a new match and complete the three games planned for the June tour," concluded the statement from the Ecuadorian Federation.
