Mr.Bada Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Link : https://www.hpcwire.com/off-the-wire/intersect360-research-releases-software-survey-results/ Intersect360 Research has released the results of our HPC software survey in reports spanning eleven different domains, examining the overall mix of in-house, open-source, and commercial software, and the mix of public cloud versus on-premises computing. These reports highlight a trend we have reported on over several years: a gradual decline in the usage of commercial, licensed software applications from independent software vendors (ISVs). The decline has been offset by an increase in in-house application development, fueled by multiple industry trends, including the adoption of multi-core processors and accelerators and successive application expansions related to Big Data analytics and machine learning. All eleven reports are available for download to our HPC Advisory Service clients or for individual purchase at www.intersect360.com: HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Weather and Climate Modeling HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Visualization HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Scientific Research HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Finance HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Physics HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Geophysics HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Engineering HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Chemistry HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Business Analytics HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) HPC Software Survey: Primary Applications— Biosciences
