Mouradoglu has been out of action for nearly a year because Williams has not played on the WTA Tour since injuring her leg at Wimbledon last year, and it is not clear when the 40-year-old American will return to action. "I have missed training for the past eight months," Muratoglu said in a statement. "My passion has not stopped and I still feel that I have a lot to offer." Simona came to the Muradoğlu Academy before Indian Wells to train. I attended some of the training sessions that Halep participated in and watched her train. “At the end of the week, she asked if I was available to train her. I had great respect for her but I was dismissive of the idea at the time. "After a few weeks I had a discussion with Serena and I had the opportunity to work with another player at least for a while. I will always keep you updated." Halep, who won the French Open in 2018 and Wimbledon the following year, struggled last year with injuries and reached only one WTA final at the Transylvania Open, losing at home. Halep is currently ranked 20th in the world rankings. (Prepared by Ashraf Hamed for the Arab Newsletter)
