For now, it confirms three new electrified models in Europe by 2023. Honda has announced the expansion of its range of electrified products in 2023, which will mean the creation of its widest range for Europe in years. New additions include a fully electric small SUV, introduced as the e:Ny1 concept, a full hybrid compact SUV, and the CR-V, which will be available, for the first time in Europe, as a hybrid or plug-in hybrid. The all-electric small SUV, to be marketed in 2023, will be at the center of Honda's future product lineup. For its part, the compact SUV, which will offer a unique combination of dynamics, technology and design, will be an option for families looking for their first electric vehicle. Innovation in energy management

In addition to expanding its range of electrified vehicles for Europe in 2023, Honda continues to focus on its energy management business unit. Its plan is to create a sustainable society with no environmental impact, connecting electric mobility products and energy services. This will help increase the use of home chargers for electric vehicles, urban charging solutions and commercial energy services.Honda's electrification process gains momentum

Regarding the next phase of its electrification process, Honda has implemented a strategy with multiple alternatives to materialize its commitment to carbon neutrality in all its products and corporate activities by 2050. The company will invest heavily in a variety of zero-emission technologies, including solid-state batteries, swappable battery systems, carbon-neutral fuels, and hydrogen fuel cells.

An essential part of this strategy is for all major markets, including Europe, to increase the proportion of electric vehicle and fuel cell vehicle (FCV) unit sales to 40 percent by 2030 , and 80 percent by 2035. The company will also end the global sale of internal combustion engine cars by 2040. In the field of aviation, building on the technologies and insights gained with the HondaJet, Formula 1 and electrification, Honda will develop an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for intercity transportation. In the field of robotics, by the end of 2024 an artificial intelligence-powered robot - the Honda Avatar Robot - will be the next step after ASIMO, with a view to practical use in the 2030s.
