Ola Electric's investment in the Israeli company gives it the exclusive rights to manufacture in India batteries that integrate its extremely fast charging technology. With this objective, the Indian manufacturer plans to establish a gigafactory to produce battery cells in order to meet the demand for its electric motorcycle models manufactured in its so-called Futurefactory.

 

According to the Indian company, these latest facilities make up the largest 2W factory in the world and inside it is where their S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters are produced. Both models were presented last summer as affordable two-wheelers capable of offering high performance. The S1 version can reach speeds of up to 90 km/h and offers a range of up to 121 km with each recharge.

Regarding his latest financial decision with StoreDot, Ola's CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, has highlighted that "the future of electric vehicles lies in better, faster and high energy density batteries that will be able to recharge quickly and provide a greater reach”.
