The 27-year-old defender was fined around 300,000 euros ($330,000) by his club for posting a video on social media in early February of him mistreating his cat. The money will allow, among other projects, to help an association that deals with the evacuation of domestic animals from Ukraine to prevent them from being injured by the Russian invaders.
