Gasly set the fastest lap of the day under the lights of the Bahraini track with 1m33902/1000. With this time the Frenchman surpassed the Spanish Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) by 457/1000. While the Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) closed the Top 3 after dominating the first turn. Although Lance Stroll (Aston Martin) was responsible for the first red flag of the day after “rakes” from a little piano got caught on his car, the Canadian finished in fourth place.
