Askor lml Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 This Thursday, the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, in Antalya, in southwestern Turkey. This meeting takes place a few days after a US delegation traveled to the city of Caracas to talk with the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro. According to official information, at the meeting Rodríguez stated that Venezuela does not recognize hegemonic powers that they seek to impose their will on the development of international politics; adheres to the Charter of the United Nations and the right of peoples to exercise their sovereignty and self-determination. Similarly, during the meeting, the bilateral strategic relations and the complex international scenario that Europe is experiencing were reviewed. "Venezuela reaffirmed the principle of sovereign equality of States as a way to preserve balance for the sake of peace," wrote the Executive Vice President on her Twitter account. She also thanked the Turkish minister, Mevlut, Cavusoglu , for the invitation and asserted that Venezuela "ratifies diplomacy as an essential space to expand good international relations." This Friday, Rodríguez will participate in the II Antalya Diplomatic Forum, which will be held from Friday, March 11 to Sunday, March 13, and which aims to outline joint actions to face the problems that occupy the global agenda. “We are happy to see each other at such an important moment for humanity.
