RIght, it's Wordle Sunday, which means you're going to be lazily reaching for your phone or tablet and tapping away.

 

 

But - disaster strikes. You've got caught in a web of letters, and you cannot, for the life of you, figure out the Wordle answer. Does it begin with a C? Can it be a K? What does AGORA mean anyway?

We won't lie, we're feeling pretty proud of ourselves in the Wordle World today, as we did a clean-in-three guess to the answer, building nicely on the previous guesses to find the way there.

 

 

There are some key things that we can clue you in on though, in case you've got caught. The first letter is a bit tricky.

 

Here are three things to help you snip through the barbed wire of confusion to get to the answer:

 

There is only one vowel today

It starts with a C, but is not CH (which surprised us)

The vowel sits in the middle of the word.

Is that too easy? Too hard? Who knows - all we care about is saving your streak.

 

 

One of our favorites is WordFinderX, which allows you to put in letters at the start and the end if you know them and, crucially: allows you to enter any letters that don’t fit.

Started to take advantage of the Words with Friends craze, this website has blatantly had a huge rise in traffic of late, but it really does do the job.

 

You can also try WordTips, which does the same thing but with a slightly kinder UI. We also like The Free Dictionary, but that only lets you use 'contains', 'ends with' or 'starts with' - as well as 'unscramble'.

 

 

There's also another tool that we've found - well, the founder emailed us about - and we think it's a bit nifty: TryHardGuides Wordle Solver, great for the mobile, you just pop in the position of the correct and misplaced letters, pop in the wrong ones, and it'll give you not only the possible answers, but will recommend some based on the most po[CENSORED]r letter combos.

 

And finally - check out this useful grid that shows the hottest letter pairings - it can really help focus your mind on what might go where, and helps us know if the puzzle is tricky or not.

We think it's a little easier than recent puzzles, and Google Trends suggests as much, showing that people are searching for 'Wordle Answer' less than they have been all week - it's about half as hard as BRINE, according to the stats.
