The siege on Russian sport has been extended after the publication of a statement published by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the various sanctions imposed by FIFA, UEFA and the Euroleague basketball, which have continued with different international federations that have joined the boycott caused by the invasion of Ukraine.

The IOC managed to get federations and competition organizers to "not invite or allow the participation of Russian or Belarusian athletes or leaders" in any of them.

Athletics

Hockey: The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has terminated hosting rights to the 2023 World Junior Championships in Russia.

Baseball: No Russian or Belarusian athlete or official will be invited or allowed to participate in international competitions organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).

Chess: The flags and anthems of Russia and Belarus will not appear in any event of the International Chess Federation (FIDE). All existing sponsorship deals with state-controlled companies from Russia and Belarus will be terminated and no new deals will be made.
