South Carolina continues to lead the USA TODAY Sports women’s basketball coaches poll into March and the conference championship stretch of the season.

The Gamecocks solidified their place as the top seed in the upcoming SEC tournament and once again are the near unanimous choice in the poll, claiming 31 of 32 No. 1 votes. Stanford remains second with the other first-place nod. ACC leaders North Carolina State and Louisville hold steady in the third and fourth positions, respectively.

The lone change in the top five see Baylor moves up a couple of positions to No. 5 after taking down Iowa State over the weekend. LSU climbs to No. 6, also moving ahead of the Cyclones who slip to No. 7. Connecticut checks in at No. 8 alone this week. Michigan drops four places to No. 9 after its loss to Iowa, and Texas gains two spots to round out the top 10.

Virginia Tech nudges back into the poll at No. 24 after giving N.C. State a close battle.
