luminox™- Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 Jorge Lorenzo has officially declared his retirement as a MotoGP racer since the end of 2019. Soon, the former world champion will return. Quoted from Tuttomotoriweb.it, Saturday (26/2/2022), Lorenzo is strongly believed to have been offered the task as a commentator by a TV station in Spain, namely DAZN.DAZN MotoGP has launched a teaser video, in which DAZN Director Ernest Riveras calls a former rider to join as a commentator. Lorenzo's name is not explicitly stated. However, from the video it can be seen from some of the references mentioned. In 2021, Lorenzo had tried to become a MotoGP commentator on his personal YouTube channel. The comments given are very interesting, because they are seen from the eyes of a former MotoGP racer who is also a former world champion. However, until now Lorenzo has not provided any comments regarding his alleged role as a racing commentator. All will be known on February 28, 2022. Meanwhile, the inaugural series in Qatar will be held on March 6, 2022. It is not a new thing when former drivers become commentators.
