In December of last year, Toyota and Lexus made a powerful announcement regarding their electromobility strategies. The image of Akio Toyoda in front of a list of 16 100% electric models is really powerful and that the promise is to reach 30 new electric ones, between now and 2030. All this, divided into three product branches and considering an investment of eight trillions of yen

In one of those branches is Lexus Electrified, the new range of models from the Japanese luxury brand. And it is that Lexus will be a 100% electric brand by 2030, at least for the markets of Europe, North America and China. A good premium brand cannot not have a sports car, at least if it is intended to go against Audi, BMW or Mercedes-Benz and that will be the case of Lexus, who during said event, presented some images of an exquisite two-seater, which is rumored It will reach 100 km/h in two seconds and will have an average range of 700 kilometers.

This new model is hinted to be the successor to the glorious LFA, Lexus' exclusive V10-powered supercar. That yes, in Lexus they have not wanted to tell more details of the car, so we do not know how much power it will have, as is its interior and most importantly: its launch date.

What is known and that allows us to infer that it is the successor to the LFA, is that Akio Toyoda himself pointed out that this car will be developed with the same "special recipe" that shaped the LFA. Therefore, many of the dynamic advances or part of the driving experience will have their reference point in that model, which is very positive.

In a statement, the brand says: "Through Lexus Electrified, the company aims to fully exploit the potential of electrification to increase driving pleasure for all its customers. And it will also offer the virtues of the Lexus Driving Signature, a Unique driving experience based on linear vehicle responses that are completely true to the driver's intentions, with a seamless connection of deceleration, steering and acceleration at all times." NPAZ_1f88e5ed4bba45e89523587f0802b1ce.jp

The silhouette of this sports car is somewhat different from that of the LFA, with proportions closer to those of the Supra and even to those of the Toyota 2000GT, although with a larger size. The insurances on the hood and on the rear cover stand out, as if it were a competition car. It is also striking that its design is somewhat minimalist, with more fluid lines. The most intricate are the taillights, which we hope will remain on the production car.

The roof was envisioned as a large matte black dome, matching the car's A-pillars. Of course, this roof extends towards the rear of the model, like a large piece, that is, there is no window or rear window.
