According to Tucson Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Ace Hardware located at 6959 E. 22nd St. near Kolb Road in reference to a report of a shoplifting and hit-and-run crash that occurred at that location. Ace Hardware TPD said after the suspect reportedly shoplifting from the store, several employees attempted to block the suspect from leaving the scene. Despite their efforts, the suspect struck the employees with their vehicle and fled the area before police arrived at the scene. According to TPD, the employees were transported to the hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.The suspect wanted in connection to the case is still outstanding. Anyone with information about the incident is advised to call 88-CRIME.
