The Sudan Pavilion at the international event, Expo 2020 Dubai, will host special displays of the Sudanese dress.

The offers are presented by 17 Sudanese designers, who came to the UAE to share their latest designs with the world, starting from Friday until February 15, 2022, with the aim of communicating with the people of the world and introducing them to heritage and contemporary designs.

Sarah Yassin, one of the designers, said: "The event starts under the title (Original and Sudanese), where we present shows of Sudanese heritage costumes, followed by shows of modern fashion, and the performances are interspersed with lyrical and musical segments dedicated to this event, and we also present a variety of overlapping colors and embroidery methods. and knitting."

Designer Zina Balnour Taha added: "Expo 2020 Dubai is an international forum through which we introduce all the peoples of the world to our beautiful heritage and distinctive costumes, and we further highlight the African continent with its cultural richness and creativity, especially that all African countries are excellently represented in this edition of the World Expo." .

Regarding participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, designer Maren Qassem said: "Expo is an opportunity to introduce the world to our homeland and our culture, and to learn about different countries and cultures in this event, which represents the present and the future, and provides a valuable opportunity to open up to all civilizations."

The designers agreed that the Sudanese dress is still affected by the ancient heritage of their country, with a modern touch that keeps pace with international fashion, as various raw materials of fabrics from the best factories in the world are added to it, and it is decorated with joyful and harmonious colors, and studded with crystals and beads. They also stressed that this international event will contribute to the launch With the Sudanese dress to the world, as it can inspire fashion houses to include it in their future designs.
