Moroccan striker Hakim Ziyech has announced not to return to play with the Morocco national team, and this decision came after months of disagreements with an elected coach "Black Atlas" Wahid Khalilzic.

 

Ziyech made statements - while with his Chelsea team in Abu Dhabi to participate in the Club World Cup - and told Abu Dhabi Sports Channel "I will not return to the team. This is my final decision. Everything is clear to me."

 

"I feel sad for sure. I understand the Moroccan public, but I know how things are managed in the team; this is my final decision. Now I focus on (playing with) my team." Khaliluzich Ziyech has been excluded from the Moroccan team list over the past months, and the Bosnian coach justified his decision on disciplinary grounds.

 

Ziyech (28) made 40 international appearances for Black Atlas and scored 17 goals, one of the leading Moroccan professional players in Europe, along with PSG defender Ashraf Hakimi, Sevilla duo Yasin Bono and Yusuf Nasiri.
