#CeLTiXxX Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 The Malaysian team has presented the bikes with which they hope to repeat the title in 2022 Yamaha has a thorn stuck with respect to the year 2021. Who could say after one of its riders, Fabio Quartararo, MotoGP champion, has been crowned, but the Malaysian team cannot get it out of its head that the constructors went to Ducati . For this reason, the Frenchman requested a more powerful motorcycle to be competitive and thus be able to lift both wounds. Yamaha listened carefully to his requests and has finally unveiled the machine with which the Frenchman and his Italian teammate will try to achieve the double. The new M1 has started rolling more powerful than ever. His main rival will be Ducati. This is how the Yamaha with which it intends to retain the crown has been made: “The main area to improve will be the maximum speed. That's what the engineers in Japan have focused on. Not only in the engine, but also in the aerodynamics, to reach the end of the straight faster. They prepared a lot of new material”, confessed the team manager Massimo Meregalli at the presentation of the Yamaha. Lin Jarvis, responsible for the competition, is clear that they will be the team to beat, but the objectives for 2022 are clear: “it is a fact that everyone is starting from scratch, it is a new chapter. You don't know the level of the rest, but the team has already proven to be very competitive. I think we have great potential. The best goal is a brace at the World Cup. It is very difficult of course, but I have confidence. The mission is to win the drivers' title, with a double, and the constructors' title”, he pointed out. The drivers also discussed the coming season and their expectations this year. Fabio Quartaro announced in the presentation that he was not yet fully aware of what he had achieved last season: “I feel that I have realized more of what I have achieved, the title, three months after achieving it than then in Misano. The feelings of last year will give me a lot of motivation. It was a different winter, with many events, I was able to celebrate it well, but I never stopped training for more than three days. I have the motivation to achieve the same, I believe more in myself. I am more than ready." For his part, Franco Morbidelli analyzes the season from a calmer point of view: “The objective is to be at the front and, perhaps, to fight for something important at the end. I must manage to match Fabio's speed, which is always high”, explained the Italian. It seems clear that the rival to beat this season will be Ducati and that they are not taking Marc Márquez's recovery into account. We will see how the course progresses and who ends up being the ones who will compete for the crown at the end. https://www.donbalon.com/motor/moto-gp/el-arma-que-yamaha-ha-puesto-a-disposicion-de-quartararo-y-morbidelli
