(Politics) Venezuela and Syria boost trade relations

Venezuela and Syria agreed on Thursday the "dynamization" of trade relations between the two nations and the working mechanisms with a view to the execution of an international fair between the two countries, to be held in Damascus, the Foreign Ministry reported.

A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explains that the review of trade relations took place during a meeting between the Vice Minister of Venezuela for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Capaya Rodríguez; the president of the Federation of Arab Entities and Associations (Fearab), Zaid Enrique Alhamad; and the president of the Council of Venezuelan-Syrian Businessmen, Michel Mozloum, at the Yellow House.
In the work meeting, the president of Fearab, Zaid Enrique Alhamad, expressed his willingness to be part of the binational investment and the revitalization of trade relations between the two countries to analyze the mechanisms to carry out the International Fair of Syria and Venezuela , in Damascus.

For his part, the president of the Council of Venezuelan-Syrian Businessmen, Michel Mozloum, explained the intention of the Council to join this initiative, and in turn pointed out that for a few years they have been focused on collecting information regarding the companies interested in binational trade.

The parties agreed to circulate documents related to the business groups identified by the commercial activity in order to determine the actions leading to the joint participation in the Damascus Trade Fair between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Syrian Arab Republic.

Recently, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, proposed the creation of an international fair between the two countries to show their capabilities and products and in turn consolidate peace and development of both nations.
