Leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Central Committee of Fatah, and a number of activists and residents participated in the protest. Eyewitnesses indicated that an Israeli force dispersed the protest using stun grenades, closed the Bedouin gathering and prevented citizens from entering or leaving, without reports of casualties among the participants. Deportation threatens 190 Palestinian families in Khan al-Ahmar, and Israel considers that the community was built without a permit, as the homes of this neighborhood were built in the early fifties of the last century, after Israel expelled them from the Negev region.
