Through his account on the social network Twitter, President Nicolás Maduro explained that, during the conversation, they discussed "issues related to existing cooperation in various strategic areas at the highest level, a relationship that is strengthened by the unbreakable union of our peoples”. For its part, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates that "it was agreed to intensify Russian-Venezuelan contacts at various levels." During the conversation, in addition, President Vladimir Putin reiterated his support for Venezuela in the face of constant attacks that threaten the national sovereignty of the South American nation. From the Kremlin, the leaders discussed current issues of relations between the two countries, as well as the progress of joint projects in the areas of trade, economy and energy.
