Currently, according to the firm, the tickets are already available for sale in the firm's mobile application, travel agencies, website and physical points of sale nationwide. Avianca indicated, through a statement, that the operation on this route will be carried out on Airbus aircraft, with which the airline will make available to passengers an offer of almost 3,000 seats per month. "Ecuador is becoming more and more relevant on the map. connectivity, and from Avianca we want to be a fundamental part of this growth that ends up being a great contribution to tourism and the country's economy. We started the year with this announcement, which is part of the expansion project that includes having 50 new routes in three years from the different countries where the airline operates ”, said David Alemán, Avianca's general director for Central and South America. Avianca begins its operation between Guayaquil and New York Alemán also recalled that since December the airline has had six direct weekly flights from Guayaquil to New York and that, at the end of this month, the Guayaquil-Lima route will be resumed. Avianca currently covers routes in the domestic and international markets. In the national market it has an important connectivity: it links Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, Manta, El Coca, Santa Cruz and Baltra. Internationally, the airline has direct flights to Bogotá, San Salvador, New York and plans future openings of operations to Miami, Cali and Medellín.
