[Sport] Brazilian arbitration for Peru vs. Ecuador for date 16 of the World Cup qualifying

FIFA appointed the authorities for the match that will be held by the Peruvian and Ecuadorian teams for matchday 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier, responsibility that fell on the Brazilian Wilton Sampaio, as central referee.

Through its social networks, the Peruvian team detailed this Monday that the refereeing team for the game on February 1 at the National Stadium (9:00 p.m.) will be of Brazilian nationality.
With Sampaio will be Marcelo Van Gasse as assistant referee 1, Bruno Boschilia as second assistant and Luiz Flavio Oliveira as fourth official.

The Venezuelan Juan Soto will be in the video arbitration system (VAR), assisted by the Brazilian Rodrigo Figueiredo.

Other authorities of the game will be the plainsman Marlon Escalante as referee advisor, the Argentine Jorge Milano as match commissioner and the Colombian Gustavo Morelli as security officer. The team led by Gustavo Alfaro will receive Brazil, classified before the World Cup.

Ecuador is in third place in the standings with 17 points, four units ahead of Colombia and Peru, which occupy boxes four and five, with Blanquirroja in the repechage zone. (D)
