Noticias ALEJANDRO Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Guayaquil marcher Johana Edelmira Ordóñez, 34, returns home. After defending Azuay for more than 20 years, she now belongs to the records of the Guayas Sports Federation. The provincial entity confirmed in its social networks that the athlete, champion in the 50 kilometers of the last Pan American Games Lima 2019, will represent the albiceleste in national tournaments and her first participation will be this Saturday, in Machala; she then she will compete, on February 5 and 6, in the South American Marching Championship, in Peru. Ordóñez, in order to change province, from Azuay to Guayas, took advantage of what is stated in the Sports Law, where in the relevant part it allows athletes to represent the province where they reside. The Ministry of Sports responded favorably to the request that the athlete had made to stop competing for Azuay. The state entity registered Ordóñez's new address, applying article 2 of the General Regulations to the Sports, Physical Education and Recreation Law, corresponding to Free Transit, which establishes: "It is the right of athletes to represent any sports organization in the place where your new address is established. For this purpose, the athlete must prove and register her address in the Sectorial Ministry ”. It states that "once her registration is registered in the new sports organization, this transfer may be made to her only once a year." Valentina Centeno, Undersecretary for the Development of Physical Activity of the Ministry of Sports, certified that “after reviewing the documentation sent by Ordóñez, the data was confirmed in the Sports Administration System (SAD), which displays and determines that it complies with the requirements and time sti[CENSORED]ted in the General Regulations to the Sports, Physical Education and Recreation Law ”. The certification states that there were visits to the athlete's new home; "For this reason, by means of a memorandum, the Zonal 8 coordinator, Carlos Morán, reported that the technical inspection visits were carried out by Víctor Hermida, Regional Sports analyst of the Ministry of Sports." With these supports, the Ministry of Sports certifies that Ordóñez does reside in the address that she indicated and is training in Guayas, according to the information registered in the SAD; “For this reason, the Certificate of Residence Registration (Free Transit) is issued.
