The electrics combined a good start from starter Junior Guerra with a five-run cluster - in the second inning - to reach the ninth inning with a 6-2 win. However, the red birds were unwilling to give in. Defying Closer of the Year Bruce Rondón, the Cardinals manufactured four runs in the ninth to even the score at 6-6. Ali Castillo hit a base-sweeping double and Juniel Querecuto drove in the tying goal with a single to left field. The next inning, Alí Sánchez -as a pinch hitter- sentenced with another double base sweeper, this time against right-hander Enderson Franco.
