The National Security Police "formally charged two men, aged 34 and 52, and an online media company, with conspiracy to make a seditious publication," it said in a statement without providing the identities of the two people. According to local media reports, the two were editor-in-chief Patrick Lam and his predecessor Chung Pui-kuen, who were arrested on Wednesday along with five other people linked to Stand News. The five others "remain in custody for further investigation," police said.
