• Other Information: Armin van Buuren (Leiden, 25 December 1976) is a Dutch DJ and music producer, specialist in trance. He was voted number 1 DJ in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012; by DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs vote, a record 5 times. He is currently at No. 4 on DJ Magazine's Top. Since 2001, van Buuren has hosted a weekly radio show called A State of Trance, which it says has about 25 million listeners a week in 26 countries,[3] making it one of the most listened to programs in the world. Their 2008 studio album Imagine reached the top of the Dutch music chart, an unprecedented feat by an electronic music artist in the country's musical history.
• Armin van Buuren began producing and composing his own music at age 14 and began his DJ career at a local club called Nexus in his hometown. He finished high school around 1995 and started law school later that year. Meanwhile, Armin was transforming his simple "studio in the bedroom" into a true professional studio, where he initially produced major hits of his career, such as Touch Me and Communication, classic trance tracks that are still constantly played in his performances across the planet.
