(Auto) Suzuki Swift will become a pickup truck

Everything indicates that this hatchback will follow in the footsteps of many other models.

 

Due to the great po[CENSORED]rity that SUVs and crossovers are having in the world, some car brands are transforming their models of sedans or hatchbacks into small trucks to face the competition.

As part of this strategy, Suzuki could transform its most po[CENSORED]r hatchback into an SUV. According to the Japanese website Best Car Web, the next-generation Swift will come in an SUV version, however, the basis will not be the normal Swift, but the Swift Sport.

According to rumors, the new generation of the Swift would be presented by the end of 2022 and would be based on an improved version of the current platform.

By 2023, Suzuki would unveil the Swift Sport as an SUV, which it would retain would be the 48-volt 1.4-liter BoosterJet engine.

Based on that Swift Sport, a Swift Cross would be launched, this for 2024. At the moment it is unknown if it will be a real SUV or just a raised version with plastic moldings and roof rails.
