Initially, the singer himself posted his music on the internet, which took him to the top in the United States for seven non-consecutive weeks. Soulja Boy was born in Chicago on July 28, 1990. At the age of six, he moved to Atlanta, where he began to enjoy rap. Eight years later, he moved again: this time to Batesville, Mississippi with his father, who improvised for the boy a studio so he could explore his musical talents. Soulja is slang for soldier.
