  • Other Information: Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter (Houston, September 4, 1981), also known only as Beyoncé, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, model, dancer, businesswoman, producer, director, and screenwriter. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé became known in 1997 as a member of R&B girl group Destiny's Child, which has sold more than 178 million records worldwide, 118 million solo and 60 million with the group Destinys Child, according to Columbia Records in 2015.
  • In 2003, she released her solo debut album Dangerously in Love. The album performed well commercially and the singles "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy" reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The following year, it was awarded five Grammy Awards.
