We dared to test this new TVS Apache on the circuit, in the sun, in the rain and with two professional riders, one high and the other low cylinder.

We took advantage of a day of practice at the Tocancipá Autodrome and at the Juan Pablo Montoya Kartódromo, to do some tests with a team that we summoned for this task, two magnificent speed drivers, Jefferson Vanegas and Giovanny Arévalo, who, together with Daniel Acosta, Former professional rider, instructor and technical specialist in speed motorcycles, they carried out an in-depth assessment of our protagonist, the Apache RTR 200 FI, thus evaluating the racing DNA, which the brand proudly indicates and is present in this machine.

The work team pointed out and agreed on a series of assessments that were carried out on the motorcycle for a couple of days in the two aforementioned scenarios.

Curve pass.

They indicate that it has an excellent cornering response, the Apache RTR 200 FI 4V ABS showed a great performance, giving the reliability in this regard and generating pleasant sensations to the pilots.

Showa front telescopic suspension.

This is a point that they highlighted, since the suspension presents the possibility of generating adjustment in preload, the extreme points were tested, the factory configuration, the softest and the most compressed, showing that this last adjustment helps greatly in the behavior of the motorcycle on the track.

Stability.

They reported that the RTR Apache 200FI is very stable and that it generates driving peace of mind when it is demanded at the top of its performance.

Kartódromo Juan Pablo Montoya

Easy to handle and docile in curves.

They indicated that the TVS does not generate resistance and that, on the contrary, it has excellent maneuverability in order to enter curves at high speeds, it is an attribute that impacted them for a vehicle of this displacement.

Good braking.

They consider that the work of the front ABS brake is excellent, in these conditions of use, where the rear brake is rarely used, they indicated that the behavior is up to the demands, depending on the type of driving map used, it is perceived how intrusive the device is. On the contrary, from the rear, they did not complain about the performance but about the location of the pedal of this, since it is a little lower than the ideal point of use.

Tocancipá Autodrome

Change in acceleration behavior by RTFI technology.

They highlighted the acceleration of the "200", since they indicate that the response is immediate and effective, points that a motor speed rider looks for on a track machine.

Driving modes with real behavior.

Some brands have presented on the market low-cylinder motorcycles with driving modes, which do not affect the actual behavior of the vehicle, this concern was overcome as the team affirms: in the different driving modes (Rain, Urban, Sport) that the RTR Apache 200FI has, protective electronic shorts are generated directly applied to the rpm rate generated by the mount's motor.

Presence of technological elements typical of high-end specimens.
The fact that the brand incorporates in this reference driving modes, SmartXConnect, basic telemetry, manual laptimer, generate a plus that high-level vehicles usually have, since sportingly, they take advantage of not only what the driving modes provide, but also the information that provides them with the application of the brand for the evaluation of their performance as pilots on the track.

The tires.

The tires used as standard, it is evident that they are not the most suitable for sports use on the track, but they cannot be disregarded, since they behaved at the height of the requirement that was submitted to them in the test.

In general, the team of experts who evaluated the Apache passed the test submitted with high scores, no turning times were taken, because we were not evaluating the performance of the motorcycle with its competitors in the market, on the contrary, We analyze the performance of this and we can certify that, in its segment, it is a motorcycle that really has a racing DNA.

Thanks:
Autódromos S.A., Giovanny Segura, Operations Manager, for opening the possibility of working and testing this machine at the Tocancipá Autodrome and Juan Pablo Montoya Kartódromo,
P2R Colombia, Rodrigo Sánchez, General Manager, for supporting us with the storage of the motorcycle to be able to work on it during the days that we carry out the evaluation at the Tocancipá Autodrome.
