The Chamber of Automotive and Machinery Distributors (Cadam) held this Saturday the test drive event for hybrid and electric cars for the first time showing several of the models available in the domestic market.

The units are available for test drives for anyone interested in learning more about electromobility, free of charge. In addition, consultants specialized in the sector of this type of vehicle accompanied the visitors to guide those interested about the advantages offered by these models. Renowned brands such as Audi, BMW, Lexus, Toyota, as well as BYD, Kia and Baic participated in the exhibition.

In the Audi space was the new star of the emblem of German origin, the e-Tron SUV, which was presented a couple of months ago and offers a range between 300 and 450 kilometers of autonomy, depending on the model. Additionally, the Q3 and Q4 hybrids were available.

 

BMW also had hybrid vehicles such as the 3 Series, 5 Series, X5 and X3, as well as the 100% electric iX3 and the i8 Roadster. For its part, BYD had a presence with the Yuan SUV, in two different versions and autonomies, in addition to the hybrid called Tang and the utility T3. Kia, with its Niro model, equipped with two engines, characteristic of hybrids, being a 1.6 Kappa GDI gasoline with 103 horsepower and an electric with 43 horsepower. Its transmission is 6-speed automatic.

 

Baic stood out with the EC3, which has 300 km of autonomy, the EX360 with 360 km of autonomy and the EX5, 100% electric, with a possibility of traveling of 500 km. Lexus, with its UX 250h F Sport combines an engine of 4-cylinder gasoline and a 2.0-liter engine with a self-recharging electric motor to provide 181 horsepower. The NX 300h and the RX 450 F Sport also stand out. While Toyota did the same with the PriusC, inline 4 cylinders, powered by gasoline / hybrid.
