In early 2014, she signed her first contract, with the record label Astralwerks, and at the end of the same year Halsey released her debut EP, entitled Room 93. In August 2015, she released her first album, Badlands, which included two tracks from Room 93: "Ghost" and "Hurricane". The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Four singles were released from the album, all of which achieved moderate commercial success. Also in 2015, Halsey featured on the track ''The Feeling'' from Justin Bieber's Purpose album. Justin Bieber and singer Halsey, both 26, performed together during The Today Show, on NBC, on Wednesday afternoon (18), in New York.
