He was known for being behind several piseiro compositions and for the aggression against his ex-wife. Ivis was born in the city of Santa Rita, Paraíba and began his career playing in pagode bands from Bahia, soon spending time playing forró presentations in João Pessoa. Through Twitter he started offering music to forró bands. In 2012, he moved to Fortaleza, where he played with local bands. In 2015 he released the album "Seresta de Luxo", which became a hit in Alagoas. With the success of his work, he was invited to join Aviões do Forró, where he got an opportunity as a musician and producer. At that time, the group experienced the departure of Solange Almeida and the main musicians. That's when Ivis imprinted a new style on singer Xand Avião, then lead singer of Aviões, with an electronic forró aesthetic. From 2020 onwards, the name of DJ Ivis became more in evidence with the launch of partnerships with other artists in the forró genre. The song "Esquema Preferio", by Tarcísio do Acordeon, appeared on Spotify's Top 200 Brazil chart and at position 174 on Billboard Global 200 and 84 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. A March 2021 survey by Audiency.io, a radio and streaming audience monitoring company, showed that 17 compositions by Ivis appeared among the 100 most played forró songs in Brazil, including "Esquema Preferado", "Basta Você" Call Me", "Entire City" and "Already Forgotten". DJ Ivis appears in compositions of songs by Barões da Pisadinha ("Renatinha", "Liga pro 190"), Zé Vaqueiro ("Cangote", "Back with me BB"), Raí Saia Rodada ("Era Eu") and Dj Guuga ( "Back Baby, Back Baby"). In June 2021, he resumed his solo career by appearing in the live show of singer Xand Avião. On the 26th, he released the EP Eu Ouvi Brasil.
