E̶l̶s̶y̶d̶e̶o̶n̶ッ Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Kawasaki has been working for some time on completely new models and surprising technological innovations, and one of them is now being unveiled, albeit in concept form for now: the Kawasaki Adaptive. Se trata de una innovadora plataforma dual adaptativa diseñada por el Institute of Applied Art and Design (IAAD), It is a base capable of adjusting its configuration according to its environment. This means that it could change its orientation according to the terrain or the type of driving it faces. For example, you could have a comfortable sport tourer on the highway, then adjust its wheelbase and stiffen its suspension for sportier cornering, and then extend its suspension travel to go off-road. Although the prototype looks like a mixed-use trail, it is much more than that, as it can be adapted to the type of riding thanks to automated management of the suspension, chassis, handlebars.... It is like an "all-in-one", since it also incorporates elements that could be used in other types of motorcycles, such as its spoked wheels, its upside-down suspension, among others. For Sergio Vicarelli, sales and marketing director at Kawasaki, "the Adaptive has an innovative design, attention to detail, top level technology for a concept that does not go unnoticed, that evolves and adapts to the roads in front of it. Working with new and fresh ideas is always a pleasure and the guys at IAAD have done their job in an excellent way, offering a lot of encouragement that will be a suggestion for Kawasaki's design team in the motorcycle department." Kawasaki indicated that it will not manufacture the Adaptive as seen in these photos, but will use this technology to create its future models. In November the EICMA show will be held again in Milan. Surely there we will see the Kawasaki Adaptive in its concept form, but who knows if the Akashi brand will not present something a little more definitive.
