There is no doubt that urban mobility is evolving at great speed, a circumstance that is giving rise to a multitude of striking proposals that aim to attract a specific type of user respectively. This is the case of the alternative that you can see in the images and which has been baptized as Tatamel Bike.

It is a tiny electric motorcycle that comes from the Japanese brand Icoma and that has the ability to fold back on itself so that its size is similar to that of a suitcase. In this way, it seeks to solve the space problem that usually exists in certain urban areas and, at the same time, protect the vehicle from possible damage or theft if it is parked on the street.

 

And, thanks to its folding system, the bike takes a surprisingly compact shape and can be placed in any corner of the house or even stored under the desk while we are at the office. In this position, the Tatamel Bike is so concealed that it can be mistaken for another piece of furniture in the room or office where it is located.

 

The vehicle was introduced in a prototype version about a year ago and now the time has come for it to go into production. Regarding its proportions once folded, the electric motorcycle measures only 70 cm in length, 68 cm in height and 26 cm in width, a reason that clearly facilitates its storage.

 

To return it to its roadworthy riding position, the seat of the Tatamel Bike is extended backwards and both the frame and the handlebars unfold. In this way, its size almost doubles, as the electric motorcycle now measures 123 cm long, 100 cm high and 65 cm wide.

 

Although due to its dimensions and appearance it could seem almost a toy vehicle, the truth is that the manufacturer ensures that it has everything necessary to circulate. Its basic equipment includes LED-type lighting and, of course, brake and turn signal lights, as well as footrests.

 

It should not be overlooked that, given its size, it does not seem to be highly recommended for people of much higher than average height, since the comfort of the driver would suffer considerably. The brand has not yet reported on the characteristics of the electric motor that drives the vehicle but what we do know is that it can reach speeds of up to 40 km / h.

 

Regarding its autonomy, it should be noted that it can cover distances of up to 50 km for each recharge. For not too long daily transfers, it can become an interesting option. As a detail to highlight, the Tatamel Bike has specific entrances to be able to charge small devices during the trips.
