• Other Information: Moa Kikuchi (Japanese: 菊地最愛 Kikuchi Moa?, Aichi, July 4, 1999) is a Japanese idol, singer and model. She is represented by the talent agency Amuse and is a member of the kawaii metal group Babymetal, where she is known by her stage name Moametal. In addition, Kikuchi joined three other groups formed by this agency: Sakura Gakuin, its subgroups Twinklestars and Minipati.
• In her childhood, Kikuchi worked as a model for magazines.[citation needed] At the age of 8, after being runner-up at the audition "Ciao Girl Audition 2007", Kikuchi signed with talent agency Amuse. Between 2008 and 2010, she worked in commercials.[citation needed] In August 2010, she was part of idol group Sakura Gakuin, along with Yui Mizuno. In October 2010, she joined Sakura Gakuin's subgroup Twinklestars, and in November she joined Babymetal, also Sakura Gakuin's subgroup, under the stage name Moametal. On December 8, 2010, she debuted in group Sakura Gakuin with the major single "Yume ni Mukatte / Hello! Ivy". Between May 2, 2011 and March 25, 2013, Kikuchi, along with Yui Mizuno, performed a segment on the television program sakusaku, broadcast by Kanagawa TV. In July 2011, she became a member of the idol group Minipati, a subgroup of Sakura Gakuin, along with Hana Taguchi and Yui Mizuno. In January 2013, Kikuchi made her major Babymetal debut with the single "Ijime, Dame, Zettai". It was assured that Babymetal, upon Suzuka Nakamoto's graduation from the Sakura Gakuin group, would continue their activities as an independent group. In February 2014, Babymetal released their debut album. In May 2014 she became the Student Council President, i.e. leader, of the Sakura Gakuin group. On March 29, Sakura Gakuin held the annual graduation concert, The Road to Graduation 2014 Final ~Sakura Gakuin 2014 Nendo Sotsugyo~, where Kikuchi, along with Yui Mizuno, Hana Taguchi and Yunano Notsu, left the group.
