waLID. Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 France, a country like no other. The young British brand Ineos has unveiled the price of its entry-level Grenadier . In its utility version, with two seats, it will be invoiced at 59,500 euros including tax when it is released in the third quarter of 2022 . If the manufacturer has not yet communicated the entire price list, the vehicle intended for individuals will be penalized in our country by the mechanism of the ecological penalty , up to 40,000 euros . The 4 × 4 suffers in France from its high CO2 emissions. These are logically linked to its specifications: square lines favorable to crossing but aerodynamic Norman cabinet, torquey but imposing 6-cylinder 3.0-liter BMW (gasoline and diesel), etc. Despite this disadvantage, Ineos is planning to market the civilian version of Grenadier in France . A pick-up also meeting the N1 homologation (vehicles designed and built for the transport of goods with a maximum weight not exceeding 3.5 tonnes) should quickly complete the range. The brand founded by billionaire Jim Ratcliffe expects to sell around 500 vehicles per year in our country . The chemical company converted to the automobile relies more on the British and German markets. The Grenadier - which owes its name to the London pub where it was imagined - will be produced in the Hambach factory in eastern France. This site - which until now belonged to Daimler and was devoted to the production of Smart ForTwo - now employs 1,300 people. The first pre-series copies will roll off the chains at the end of 2021. Deliveries to customers will begin in the third quarter of 2022 . Strategy in France Ineos also gave more details on its strategy for setting up in our country. "We do not think that there will be many customers for the versions penalized by the penalty", explains Shashi Vaidyanathan, brand director for France and Benelux. The focus will therefore be on utility versions. Marketing will be centered on 5 to 8 physical points of sale throughout the territory . “We don't want extravagant places” explains Shashi Vaidyanathan, “we don't believe in putting up spectacular signage, we want partners in the brand's DNA”. The manufacturer indicates that it has been contacted by networks already linked to Mercedes, BMW or 4 × 4 specialists such as Land Rover. The Grenadier will be serviced by Bosch Car Service centers present throughout Europe (and in France), as well as by “flying” technicians responsible for assisting owners affected by mechanical problems. 130 prototypes are currently traveling for miles to validate the solutions adopted by the brand. https://www.auto-moto.com/nouveautes/nouveautes-2021-2022/prix-ineos-grenadier-tarif-4x4-made-in-france-revele-289433.html
