From September 17 to October 3, a hundred women from all over the world took part in the 30th edition of the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles. ISO 14001: 2015 certified, the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc is the only 100% female off-road Rallye-Raid in the world.

Since 1990, it has brought together women aged 18 to 71 and of different nationalities every year in the Moroccan desert. Among them, the 100% Moroccan crew, n ° 306, with Hajar Elbied and Malika Ajaha at the helm. After a first participation in 2019, they embarked on this 30th edition at the wheel of a Dacia Duster. Hajar Elbied and Malika Ajaha, two young employees of Renault Commerce Maroc, and best friends in life, took up the great challenge of crossing several hundred kilometers of Moroccan desert aboard the Dacia Duster.

From the dunes of Merzouga to Essaouira via Oulad Driss and Foum Zguid, they have shown courage, concentration and determination to overcome the obstacles of this real obstacle course. Despite a harsh and hot climate (+ 50 ° C) and sandstorms, they demonstrated a real team spirit and an infallible sense of direction while capitalizing on the strengths of each. Their mastery of the various features and equipment of Duster allowed them to advance on all types of terrain and to succeed in the most impassable passages. This rally is unique in that the participants navigate only using maps and compasses, without GPS or mobile phones. Sand as far as the eye can see, pebbles, plains and wadis, the n ° 306 team completed an almost flawless course and managed to take 1st place in the Crossover / SUV category from the second stage of the race. 'adventure.

The versatility of Dacia Duster supported the efforts of Hajar and Malika who drove exclusively off-road. They took risks while giving themselves body and soul in this adventure. After 9 days of intense races in the heart of the desert, Hajar and Malika, big winners in the Crossover / SUV category, crossed the finish line of this 30th edition on the beach of Essaouira, triumphant and full of emotion . Hajar and Malika won the crossover category race, becoming the 4th Moroccan team to hoist the Moroccan flag in the history of the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles at the wheel of the Duster.
