Love Pulse Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 https://alwan.elwatannews.com/news/details/4419127/عاشق-الرطوبة-أسباب-زيادة-نشاط-الذباب-في-الأمطار The pioneers of social networking sites recently circulated rumors about the spread of disease-carrying flies in Egypt during the last period from the southern regions, which was denied by the Media Center of the Council of Ministers after communicating with the Ministry of Health. For its part, the Ministry of Health clarified that the flies present in Egypt are "house flies", which are not imported, and are active according to climate change; Where it spreads in high intensity during the autumn, and rain is a major reason for increasing its activity. Why does rain increase the activity of flies? Dr. Muhammad Ali Fahim, Professor of Climate Change at the Agricultural Research Center, explained to Al-Watan that rain increases the activity of flies, stressing that after rain, the humidity increases due to the proportion of vapor in the air, which is what flies prefer and adapt to. Fahim mentioned that humidity is very important for some domestic insects, including mosquitoes and flies, the first because they lay eggs in swamps or simple water, while the flies love very high humidity so that they can lay their eggs. He pointed out that rain falling on the ground or garbage speeds up the process of analyzing food: "Instead of drying in the sun, it decomposes, and it has a very suitable environment for feeding or laying eggs for flies." Ways to take care of the cleanliness of homes to prevent flies from entering The professor of climate changes advised citizens to take care of ventilation in their homes and reduce humidity, by not using water a lot in the kitchen, always opening the hood, and paying attention to the cleanliness of the house, "because flies are active and seek to feed on leftovers." Fahim warned against the use of chemical pesticides, calling for cleaning the places where there is a lot of presence at night, such as "the balcony, Najaf, fans, and others." How to get rid of flies with natural materials Fahim explained that flies can be expelled in several natural ways, including the use of essential oils: peppermint oil, cloves, tea tree, and lemon, by adding a spoon of two types of them to a liter of water, shaking it and then spraying it to repel mosquitoes. He continued, "It is possible to use marjoram oil, vinegar and Dettol, especially in the bathroom and kitchen, because the smells that come out of them attract flies to enter the house." He stressed that the people of the city see the "attack" of flies on them as unnatural, but they do not know that the attack is multiplied 10 times in the countryside, due to climate change and the beginning of the agricultural season.
